Best Places To Travel With Family: All the Stats, Facts, and Data You'll Ever Need to Know

  Introduction

Traveling with family has always been a stress-relieving, enjoyable, and adventurous experience, but deciding where to go or choosing the best location to go has always been a challenging chore, so we've researched some of the areas that would be ideal for a family visit.

Traveling is a popular activity around the world. However, traveling to a place without sufficient information about it, such as whether it is famous for anything or not, is pointless. Traveling to an area with no tourism or attractive places is pointless. We are always looking for a good place to take the family.

Citizens of the world are traveling more than ever before. According to the most recent data from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), worldwide tourist arrivals increased by 6% in 2018, totaling 1.4 billion, a figure that was predicted to be reached only in 2020.

There were 710 million international visitor arrivals in Europe alone, accounting for over half of the total. The growth was driven by Southern and Mediterranean Europe; nonetheless, Western and Central European countries continue to be not only the most visited in Europe but also the top tourism destinations in the globe.

There's a destination or experience here for every mood, whether you want to relax at an all-inclusive resort, get active in the great outdoors, check out new attractions at a theme park, hit the beach, or warm up in a cabin. And, because intergenerational travel is more popular than ever, we've included options for everyone in your group, from the smallest to the oldest.

Top Places To Visit With Family

  • Legoland, New York:

If you have children (ages 2-12) in your home, this is a great place to take them. Kids (and kids-at-heart) won't be able to resist the colorful attractions and hands-on demonstrations centered on the classic playset series.

You can spend the entire day playing! The Water Playground, the theme park destination's newest — and wettest — activity, has debuted, allowing youngsters to splash, slide, create, and get sprayed with a massive 318-gallon water bucket. (Entry requires reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.) The park has also earned the designation of Certified Autism Center, working with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to train personnel and provide low-sensory advice and accommodations to children with cognitive difficulties.

There's also a lovely place to stay: the park's eponymous resort, Legoland Hotel, enhances the family fun everyone is having, from nightly entertainment to building the perfect build in the Creative Workshop. Sleep Inn & Suites Monroe offers complimentary breakfast every morning and is close to attractions such as Bear Mountain and Woodbury Common.

  • France, Paris:

France, the world's most visited country(visited by 89.5 million people), is more than just the Eiffel Tower, museums, and wine. For more than a decade, the country has drawn the most visitors, more than any other European or world country. There are numerous explanations for this. A year would not be enough to see and experience everything that the country has to offer in terms of tourist attractions.

France is well-known for its numerous magnificent and massive palaces, castles, and cathedrals located throughout the country. Among the most famous are the Palace of Versailles, the Castle of Chambord, and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Pérouges, St-Émilion, St-Jean Pied de Port, coastal villages, snowy mountains, stunning beaches, and massive outdoor markets have all made France a must-see destination for any traveler.  Over 89 million visitors visited the country in 2018, and the figure is expected to be significantly higher in 2019. France appears to be the top global destination since 1995 when the country got over 60 million tourists.

  • Iceland:

Few destinations on the planet provide the possibility for a family experience like Iceland.

Where else can you glimpse Blue Whales from a schooner, swim in ice-cold glacial water while continents rip apart around you, and hear the thunder of Europe's greatest waterfall all within a few hour's drive? If that isn't enough to pique your interest, Iceland is one of the world's safest countries. You may even search for the Prime Minister's phone number in the phone book.

Icelanders recognize the special demands of children and families. It's unusual to find a restaurant that doesn't offer a play area for children. Furthermore, visiting Iceland on your own is really simple. In the summer, you may drive the entire Ring Road or just concentrate on the South Coast attractions - there's enough to see and do, even with children. If you don't want to drive in Iceland in the winter, you can stay in Reykjavik and take a few day trips.

Our experience: We have visited Iceland several times and in all seasons, and it is a fantastic destination for a more adventurous family vacation!

  • Turkey:

Every traveler's dream is most likely to visit Istanbul. Istanbul was founded in 660 BCE and was known as Constantinople before the Ottomans captured it. No one who visits Turkey will miss out on Istanbul. The city boasts a unique mix of Byzantine and Ottoman architecture, delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, pleasant weather, and many friendly cats and dogs roaming freely around the city.

Turkey welcomed 45.7 million visitors in 2018, compared to 37.6 million in 2017. Visitors interested in history should visit the ancient Greek city of Ephesus, the Cappadocia rock gorges, the pure white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, and the ruins of the former Armenian capital Ani, among other places. A large proportion of the overall number of annual tourists visiting Turkey spend their vacations in one of the several luxury hotels that can be found in most of the larger cities.

  • Beaches Negril Resort & Spa (Negril, Jamaica):

While this all-inclusive resort on the island's picturesque 7-Mile Beach truly caters to all ages, toddlers and preschoolers will be awestruck. Sesame Street characters engage them with story times, dance parties, and even puppet-making! That's on top of the little water slides, splash areas, and a playground that makes kids squeal with delight and exhausts them, causing them to sleep early.

When you want to relax with a spa treatment, a quiet supper, or simply read a book on the beach, private childcare and supervised kids' clubs (for babies through teens, including those with special needs) are an alternative. All of the rooms and suites were renovated in 2020, and they are strategically built for families. All-inclusive rates for adults begin at $356 per person per night and $68 per night for children ages 2 to 15.

  • Bali, Indonesia:

Bali has recently become one of our favorite family vacation spots. There's a beautiful blend of beaches and culture, and there's always something to do, from attending festivals (which seem to happen all the time) to visiting water parks to hiking through rice fields. The weather is pleasant all year, albeit the rainy season (November to March) is exactly what it sounds like. The meal is delicious and reasonably priced. Cuca, near Jimbaran Beach, is my 10-year-old's favorite restaurant on the planet.

Bali's hotels are fantastic, and almost all of them welcome children. We've stayed in beach hotels as well as villas with private plunge pools overlooking river valleys and paddy farms. We usually strive to do activities such as fish feeding through our hotels. Yoga, rice growing, ceramics, and local walks are all options. We're never prepared to leave. Despite the fact that there are more tourists every year, Bali never feels like a tourist destination. Ubud has retained its unique, artsy flair. There's also a monkey forest, and what kid wouldn't want to be surrounded by monkeys?

  •  Dinosaur Valley State Park, Texas:

This state park, located 75 miles southwest of Dallas, is home to some of the world's best-preserved dinosaur tracks. If your child is between the ages of 5 and 11, this is the best location for them to go. Aside from strolling among the massive footprints left in the Paluxy River, visitors can take a covered wagon trip, mountain bike the trails, borrow a fishing pole from the park's Tackle Loaner Program, and visit the museums in downtown Glen Rose, Texas' Dinosaur Capital. Set up your tent or RV at Dinosaur Valley State Park, or stay at Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn Suites.

  • Germany:

Tourism is a thriving industry in one of the world's strongest economies. Tourism contributes significantly to the German government's budget. Visitors to Europe rarely travel across the continent without making a stop in Germany. In 2018, 38.8 million tourists visited Germany, an increase from 37.5 million in 2017. It is bounded on the north by Denmark, on the east by Poland and the Czech Republic, on the south by Austria and Switzerland, on the southwest by France, and on the west by Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Visitors from any of these countries can easily reach Germany by rail or plane.

For curious visitors, Germany has a lot to offer. Some of the most visited buildings include the Cologne Cathedral, Reichstag Building, Neuschwanstein Castle, Heidelberg Castle, Aachen Cathedral, and Leipzig Zoological Garden.

If you visit Germany at the correct time, you may be able to attend events such as the Oktoberfest, Cologne Carnival, Berlinale Film Festival, or Unity Day.
